The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has awarded a pair of Brownfield Grants to the Yucca Fire District in Mohave County. ADEQ Public Information Officer Caroline Oppleman in Phoenix says the grants total more than 14 thousand dollars to be used to facilitate renovation of the district's main fire station. Oppleman says grant money will be used for a phase one site assessment of the station. The assessment will look for asbestos and lead paint problems. And Oppleman says there are other issues at the station...............
The fire station is located on South Frontage Road in Yucca. Yucca is about 25 miles south of Kingman on Interstate 40 in Mohave County.
