GENERAL ELECTION VOTE WENT PRETTY WELL IN YUMA COUNTY

It took nearly two weeks to count all the ballots in Yuma County from the November 8th General Election.  But all in all, the vote went smoothly here.  That's the assessment of Yuma County Communications Director Kevin Tunell.

Tunell admits there were a few "hiccups" during the vote.  The biggest "hiccup" was the failure of a poll book at one of the voting centers,

But Tunell says generally, the polling centers handled voters efficiently.  Nearly 54 thousand Yuma County residents cast a ballot, 64% of the County's registered voters.  The process involved to count late early and provisional ballots slowed the final vote total.
