Yuma Start-Up Weekend Focused on Agriculture and Food

Yuma event aimed at kick-starting new businesses in Yuma County.

Artist Pablo Picasso once said his work begins with an idea that then becomes something else.

That's the philosophy behind an event in Yuma May 20-22 aimed at kick-starting new businesses in Yuma County and the region.

It is called Start-Up Weekend - a 55 hour workshop with experts, mentors and resources all in one place so that anyone with an idea can turn it into a business.

KAWC's Lou Gum spoke with Hanh Nguyen, one of the Start-Up Weekend organizers, about the event and how it works...
