Work Stories

Work Stories airs every Monday during Arizona Edition.

The series focuses on the professional lives of local Yuma, Arizona residents as they recall memorable people and events.

In the heat of August, Work Stories is interviewing Yuma firefighters.

Through the end of May and throughout June, Work Stories looked through the eyes of morticians and those working in funeral services.  In April, Work Stories  explored the lives of mechanics; through March, we heard from fast food workers; in February, local college professors recalled their thoughts and memories; all through January, Border Patrol Agents from the Yuma Sector talked about some experiences on the job; during the month of December 2013, wait staff spoke about their daily lives and some memorable customers; in November, we heard from nurses as they discussed memories from the bedside; and in October, local high school teachers from the Yuma area shared their experiences as educators.

Interviews for Work Stories are conducted and produced by KAWC Reporter Maya Springhawk Robnett
